As my passion into music born I was really deep neck involved in hiphop culture, at first writing tags and pieces, then rhymes, and finally as a dj. So here’s a gem from that golden age. Still one of my favourite hiphop records ever.

Few weeks ago I saw this well done documentary. It speaks about the electronic music scene with a different point of view compared to the other documentaries previously made about the topic. Also because it has been made by a couple (the guy is a dj and the girl a director) from Boston, that’s definitely not the most important city in the U.S. concerning the elctronic scene. It contains some interesting interviews with Modeselektor, Robag Wruhme (Wighnomy brothers), Michael Mayer and other people from Kompakt.

If someone would ask me who’s my favourite producer ever I guess i couldn’t answer with only a name. But if if you ask me who’s my favourite producer in the last 5/6 months I’m sure I can answer “SessionVictim”. They’re mixing soul and funk in a groovy way that results really senusal and effective. In simpler words they constantly release bombs since their first Ep on Retreat.

Just before I moved to Berlin I rediscovered vinyls. Maybe because I’ve been so crazy to think: “I’ll move all my records in Berlin” convinced to stay here for life.. and I did it.
Anyway, I started making orders online from juno, decks.de, rushhour, discogs or wherever.. of course I’ve been to Hardwax and other few recordshops here.. and I also wasted time in flehmarkets with tons of old, dusty (but not always so cheap) vinyls.
Tomorrow I’ll be diggin’ for records at DigginDays.
(This is the 3rd edition ever, but no idea about the two first ones)

Ok: let’s start managing my brand new blog. It’s a long time that winstan.org was kinda dead website, almost like myspace is in these new-social-networked-days. Two months ago, as every year in July, I was in front of a choice: renew the domain (and just use it as a ftp resource) or not.. and I made up my mind: YES.
And I decided to make a blog out of my old useless website.
